Following our successful trip last year, Bill McQuade has again put together a varied

and interesting itinerary for us, staying at the Mercure Hotel in Compiegne.

We shall visit northwards towards the bottom of the Somme Battlefield area near to St. Quentin,

and eastwards to Reims and the surroundings areas.

On the first day we will be visiting the WW2 site at the Battery Todt, from where the huge gun

used to fire on Dover can be seen. We will also visit the grave of John McCrae the poet

at Wimereux on our way to our hotel at Compiegne.

Day 1 - 19th May Pick up from Leicester and travel to Folkstone for Shuttle to Calais. Visits en route to include… Dover Patrol Monument Site Battery Todt (Cross Channel Gun Site) Wimereux CWGC Cemetery (John McCrae’s Grave)	Battery Todt

Day 3 - 21st May Leave hotel for visits to include… Compiegne Forest ( Armistice Memorial Site) Soissons British Memorial To The Missing Vailly sur Aisne CWGC Cemetery French National Tank Monument at Berry au Bac La Ville aux Bois CWGC Cemetery	Surrender At Compiegne
Day 4 - 22nd May Full day tour in Reims area to include… Fort Pompelle.......................................................................................> Ferme de Navarin Blanc Mont Visit to Champagne Caves	Fort Pompelle
Day 5 - 23rd May Travel to Calais for return to UK. Shopping in Calais before Shuttle
